I am interested in causation, explanation, modelling, measurement, idealization, laws of nature, values in science, theory change, and the history of twentieth-century philosophy of science. My primary research interests are in history and philosophy of science, with a focus on the philosophy of biology, health, and medicine. I am working on several projects that examine conceptual and methodological issues in the scientific research on obesity and metabolism. I hold a BA form the University of Toronto and a MA in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario.
